After the corporation announced in February 2006 that 2005 revenues surpassed $1 billion, NASDAQ posted congratulations in New York's Times Square.

Otter Tail stock performance

Otter Tail Power Company's board of directors authorized the company's first issue of preferred stock to be sold to the public in 1909 to raise money for the construction of facilities. This initial offering was $50,000 of 6% preferred stock. Broader ownership began in 1926 with the sale of special common stock. By 1941, extension of general voting rights to all holders of common stock completed the shift from a family business to a widely owned corporation.

Otter Tail stock (OTTR) traded on the over-the-counter market for years until it eventually became listed on NASDAQ's market dealer quotation system in the early 1970s.  Today OTTR is listed on the NASDAQ Global Select Market, which has the highest financial and liquidity standards among the three listing levels offered by NASDAQ.
