Customers pay it forward with CFL giveaway
As part of Otter Tail Power Company's commitment to paying it forward, we gifted two energy-efficient compact fluorescent lightbulbs (CFLs) to everyone who attended our dedication on March 25. We asked the attendees to use one of their CFLs in their own homes and give the other to a friend or neighbor. With those CFLs, Sisseton area residents are creating more energy-efficient homes and helping to pay it forward.
CFL recipients also had the opportunity to enter a drawing for one of five $100 Otter Tail Power Company energy certificates or a $1,000 pay-it-forward donation to the nonprofit organization of their choice.
Energy certificate winners are:
- Holly Brown, Milbank
- Tom Nordquist, Wilmot
- Alpha Behrns, Peever
- Steph Bagaus, Milbank
- Helen Carlson, Milbank
The winner of the $1,000 pay-it-forward donation is Holly Brown, Milbank. Holly chose to pay it forward to the Interlakes Community Action Program (ICAP). The Grant County Review published an article about this donation in May.
Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all participants for your commitment to paying it forward through energy savings!
